| Content Description | "Mereküla" Scout-Guide jamboree in Lakewood, New Jersey is slated for August 6-14. In 2011 a large contingent of Canadian guides and scouts participated at the "Järvemetsa" jamboree in the USA. Recently some of the guides and scouts attended a session at Estonian House in Toronto in the preparation of a new group of representative once again for the "Metsaküla" jamboree this summer. The group will be led by Talvi Parming, assisted by Marcus Tamm and the orchestra conducted by Enn Kiilaspea. The pre-jamboree gathering was filled with task-oriented activity, meant to spur co-operation, unity and the spirit of the scout-guide movement. The trip will be supported by the Estonian Relief Organization, the Estonian Foundation, the Estonian Credit Union, and Estonian Scouts and Guides in Canada. |
