| Content Description | The passing of Maestro Charles Kipper, this past spring heightened the realization how valuable and respected he was to Estonians and its musical culture. The Toronto Men's Choir (TEM) with the Toronton Mieslauljat Finnish choir, recently, as a memorial to Charles' extraordinary contribution, performed a concert containing his compositions and some of his favourite choral pieces. The concert was also a commemoration of some three decades that he conducted the Choir. At the concert's end, the individuals involved in making the concert a success were, from the left: Juhani Eistrat, President of TEM; Avo Kittask, conductor; Katrin Kuuskne-Veski, pianist; Pieter Sigmund, Paul Hietala, Finnish conductors; Elli Kipper, pianist; Kaili Kinnon, soloist; Stephen Bell, soloist; Kristina Agur, soloist. |
