EAG/EBNA meetings in Tallinn

In the frames of the Estonian Presidency of the European Union, the National Archives of Estonia hosts the 23rd Meeting of the European Archives Group and the 36th Meeting of the European Board of National Archivists on 21 and 22 September 2017 in Tallinn.

At the Tallinn meeting, there will be further discussion on eArchiving, notably areas for practical cooperation, as well as on the results of the stakeholder consultations on the Code of Conduct for Archives Services on data protection that were undertaken during the summer. At the meeting of the European Board of National Archivists, the topics will cover the introduction to e-Estonia, the experiences and benefits of the e-ARK project, challenges of digitalisation of the records of former Yugoslavia, and also the Estonian example on the creative cooperation between art, science and IT as well as the National Archives’ best practices on crowdsourcing. The venue of the meetings is Tallinn Teachers’ House.
