International Film Federation (FIAF) is holding a course in Riga

On June 19–21, Estonian and Latvian National Archives together with the Baltic Audiovisual Archives Council are hosting International Film Federation (FIAF) technical and cataloguing short course in Riga.

Participants are learning film, television, and video technology as well as preservation and cataloguing analog and digital media. The processing, digitization, and storage equipment of the film records of the National Archives of Latvia is used for practicals and demonstrations.

The course is attended by 20 participants from the Baltic States, Mexico, Italy, Croatia and Canada. Lectures are provided by FIAF lecturers from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
