Updated: Reading rooms open for unavoidable visits, digital services recommended

Dear visitors and users,

Due to the continuing virus threat in Estonia, we suggest to postpone visits to our reading rooms until 12 April, 2021, and use our digital services.

The National Archives’ reading room in Tartu (Nooruse 3) is open at the usual working hours from Monday to Friday at 9—19 but we’re following a visitors’ load factor of 25%. Primarily we expect visitors performing studies and scientific works, or inevitable official duties. While visiting the reading room, we ask everyone to wear a mask and keep a distance.

The National Archives’ reading room in Tallinn (Madara 24) can be visited in case of an unavoidable occasion only by calling to +372 693 8666 for making an appointment. Please visit the reading room only while being healthy and wearing a mask.

The National Archives’ gallery in Tallinn (Maneeži 2) is closed until 12 April. For purchasing publications, we recommend to visit our webshop.

We continue issuing archival notices as well as providing copying services, requests can be submitted via our self-service webpage.
