Kõrge tunnustuse osaliseks said Eesti kultuuri tipptegijad kirjanduse, helikunsti, kujutava kunsti, näitekunsti, audiovisuaalse kunsti, arhitektuuri, rahvakultuuri ja kehakultuuri vallas. Rahvakultuuri sihtkapitali preemia said Riina Reinvelt ja Maido Selgmäe (juuresoleval pildil) näituse “1944. Meri Läände” eest. Eesti Rahva Muuseumi peavarahoidja Riina Reinvelt ja operaator Maido Selgmäe kogusid suurnäituse tarbeks materjali ka Torontost ning külastasid oma tööreisi ajal ka Eesti Elu toimetust.Toronto

The highest average score was won by Kirill Nesterenko with a score of 198.75 points out of a possible 200. The most improved shooter’s award was won by Slava Nesterenko. Competitions are organized monthly by the Toronto Estonian Gun Club. All people of Estonian heritage and guests are invited to join the competitions. Kristiina Nieländer was born August 6, 1983 in Toronto and received her secondary school education at Humberside Collegiate in Toronto. In 2007, Kristiina graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Physical ad Health education with a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree (BPHE). For two semesters she studied, as an exchange student, in the equivalent faculty (Kehakultuuri osakond) at the University of Tartu in Estonia. In June of 2014 Kristiina, graduated from Toronto’s Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She plans to advance her career in Emergency nursing and currently works as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of Toronto Western Hospital. Kristiina is an active member of the Toronto Estonian community having held responsible positions on the executive of korp! Amicitia and on the executive of the organizing committee of JK Kalev Volleyball Camp. For many years, Kristiina’s face was familiar to many clients of the Toronto Estonian Credit Union as she worked her way through school as a part-time teller.

Anneli Must was born on July 28, 1984 in Hamilton and received her secondary school education at Westdale High School in Hamilton. In 2007 Anneli graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree degree with a French Major and minor in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. In 2010. Anneli graduated from the University of Ottawa Law School French program with a Licentiate of Laws (LL.L) and the following year she graduated from the same Law School’s bilingual program with a Juris Doctor (JD) in Common Law. She was then accepted into the two-year International Masters in Economy, State and Society (IMESS) program and studied international politics, political theory, law and the Finnish language. In 2013 Anneli graduated with two master’s degrees: 1) Master’s in Social Science (Economy, State and Society Specialization) from the University of Helsinki 2) International Master’s in Economy, State, and Society (Politics and Security Specialization) from University College London. After successfully passing the Ontario Bar Exams (Barrister Licensing and Solicitor Licensing Examinations), Anneli was called to the bar in January of 2015 and is currently a junior associate at the civil litigation firm in St Catharines where she articled. Anneli joined korp! Amicitia in 2004 and remained in close contact with the Toronto chapter throughout her studies and her travels around the world.

In 2009 she graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph and, in 2013 she graduated from McMaster University with an MSc (Master of Science) degree in Occupational Therapy. Heli lived in Thunder Bay for 5 months while working on her Master’s degree but, after graduation moved to Sault Ste. Marie, seeking a life close to nature. She is working in her chosen field as an Occupational Therapist with adults in their own homes through the North East Community Care Access Centre. Heli joined korp! Amicitia in 2006 and visits her many sorority sisters and family in Toronto as often as she can.
