Introduction
It is possible to order paper and digital copies of the records you are interested in. For placing a copy order, please login to your VAU account (or register yourself as a user if you do not have a user account yet), then click on the tab "Orders", enter the reference code of the record you are interested in (e.g. EAA.1187.1.100), choose "Copy order" in the field "Order Type", then choose the required type of copies from the "Service Type", select "Copy" –> "All pages" or "Selected pages" (if you would like to order only a part of the record or if there is a fourth number in the reference, e.g. in case of a photograph found in Fotis), then choose "Purpose" in the right column and click the button "Add". Lastly you should tick the box in front of your order, choose "Confirm Copy Order" and select how you wish to receive the copies (digital copies can be downloaded via the Internet, i.e. when the payment has reached the archives, you will receive an automatic e-mail notifying that you can now download the digital copies for 100 days) and how you wish to pay. You can pay either in cash on spot in the archives or by bank transfer on the basis of an invoice (which will be sent to your e-mail address as a PDF-attachment) or via credit card / bank link.

NB! Please note that we do not make any paper copies:

  • of vellums and parchment bindings;
  • of fragile or damaged items;
  • of documents with wax seals;
